Introduction to tea workshop

This workshop presents a well-rounded and fascinating introduction to the wonderful world of tea, placing an emphasis on ways to bring tea into your day to day routine. Serving as an important prerequisite to our other tea seminars, this two and a half hour session is intended as a broad overview of the most important topics concerning tea: history and botany of the tea tree, important terroirs of tea production, harvest and the various families of tea, infusion methods, teapots and other useful accessories for day to day brewing, tea storage, and the health benefits of tea.

After this workshop you’ll feel at ease with basic methods for tea brewing, teapot
selection, and choosing an appropriate type of tea to suit your needs. On top of
that, your new knowledge of tea and its background will allow you to see teas of
terroir in a whole new light.
